Originally formed around lead singer Del Reyes in
Manchester, England, as a four piece reggae covers band, Johnny 2 Bad
moved base to Birmingham, the heart of reggae music UK, where it
expanded to it's current 8-piece format. The band gathered players from
the Who's Who of the UK reggae circuit and worked hard honing the sound
and stage show in venues across the UK. After 18 months and under new
manager, Steve Hughes, the band rapidly gained a loyal following and an
enviable reputation as one of the most exciting reggae bands around.
They have been sought out to work alongside established artists such as:
Pato Banton, Bad Manners, Musical Youth and Apache Indian. In January
2007 Johnny 2 Bad made its European debut in Holland, headlining at
Leeuwarden's Muziekcentrum Schaaf From this came further bookings in
Holland and Belgium thanks to the enthusiasm and support of Bobby
Veenstra. Love of the music, world class musicianship, sheer hard work
and supreme professionalism, guided by expert management has seen Johnny
2 Bad take its place in the UK arena and now they are set to step up to
the world stage.
